Crazy Town A Band Born In The Early Aughts

Crazy Town: A Band Born in the Early Aughts

Origins and Formation

Crazy Town, often abbreviated as CXT, emerged in 1995 as a Los Angeles-based rap rock band. Led by Bret Epic Mazur and Shifty Shellshock, the group gained prominence with their hit single "Butterfly," which became a mainstay on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Split and Solo Pursuits

In 2002, following the underperformance of their second album "Darkhorse," Crazy Town disbanded. Shifty Shellshock embarked on a solo career, releasing a solo album and pursuing other ventures.

Continued Legacy

Despite their brief lifespan, Crazy Town's influence remains evident in the alternative rock and rap genres. Their unique blend of heavy guitar riffs and introspective lyrics continues to resonate with fans across generations.
